I am a translator and I translated literally dozens of games for both big and small companies, most of which did not have any divisions in other countries whatsoever. Smaller devs/publishers don't have the same capability of doing it.I humbly beg to differ. Only big publishers like Ubisoft, EA, Take-Two etc can go and translate the game, as they also very often have divisions in other countries. They also have Chinese, I would assume that there is chinese publisher, OR they decided to translate it becuase China is a MASSIVE market that even whole Europe together is not as big for them as China. ![]() It also has English, because it's the language most accessible and most known by all the nations. Spellforce is a German franchise - it has german (and yet I'm surprised there is no VA for German - That shows this game is on really lower budget). Smaller devs/publishers don't have the same capability of doing it.Īnd if the games don't have publisher in some countries, sure the Main Publisher will set the price in Your currency, but that's it, and definitely spamming the forums will not make them go and translate it. Creators are not responsible for it, and Main Publisher is not going to translate it, because they have no business in it for a most part.That was mostly true in the time of retail releases perhaps but it's not how it works these days, except for maybe only Chinese publishers.
